Since the seminal work of Ahlfors and Bers in the 60's, Teichmüller spaces theory grew up and reached more and more numerous and various topics in mathematics, as well as in theoretical physics:
works of Nag-Sullivan-Takhtajan-Teo on the universal Teichmüller space,
seminal work of Thurston and Mess in dimension 3, with an accent on hyperbolic and anti-de Sitter geometries,
SLE process,
string theories and conformal theories,
shape spaces of Mumford-Sharon,... (to be continued).
This two-days-conference aims to present different recent aspects of Teichmüller theory (among the ones mentioned above), bringing together some of the most eminent people from the research topic.
The week after this conference, another one organized by colleagues from Montpellier will take place at Banyuls, and will be about interactions between geometry and topology
